How Does Your Soul Feel About Your Relationship?

I hope you’re ready to go deep! Because this week we’re going to talk about the close connection between your romantic relationship and your soul’s calling, and how you can use this information to feed your soul.

For the purpose of this message, what I mean when I refer to your soul is this…your soul is the Divine spark within you that gives you everything you need to live a life of freedom, love and joy. It’s the source of inspiration for what you truly desire and how you ‘show up’ in your life.

I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience – not the other way around. What the human part of you perceives as a challenge (such as unresolved relationship conflict), your soul sees as an opportunity to grow, evolve and expand…and to feel better and better about yourself and your life.

Your Soul Is Calling You Forward
I also believe that your soul is continually calling you forward into the life you truly desire. When you have a deep desire, your soul already knows and believes that when you ask, you shall receive.

But if you ask, and then don’t believe you can have it, then you’re getting what you believe…that you can’t have it.

Wayne Dyer used to say, “You’ll see it when you believe it”. Instead of what most people are used to saying and hearing, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

Do you see the difference there? You might really, really want something in your life, but if you don’t believe you can actually have it, you’re standing in the way of seeing it happen.

The Paradoxical Predicament of Human Nature
This paradoxical predicament is part of our human nature, so don’t feel bad about it. Many of us have a pattern of saying we want something, but then unintentionally sabotaging ourselves by making up excuses as to why it’s not possible.

Let’s use the example of a romantic relationship. Let’s say you want your relationship to be more loving, and to feel more connected with your partner. But then you think, “Yeah but, it hasn’t been that way for quite awhile, so why should I expect it to change?”

A few months go by, and your heart still desires a more fulfilling relationship. But then you think, “Is that even possible? It seems like it would take a lot of work. I guess that’s just the way it goes.”

You’re still not getting what you want…and now a few years have gone by. You feel stifled. You don’t even like who you are anymore. You wonder how other people attract healthy relationships. You think things like, “What am I doing wrong? Why am I still here?”

Underneath all of these negative feelings, the deeper part of you still desires something better. In fact, that’s why you have the negative emotions…because you’re ignoring your soul’s calling.

Freedom is the Oxygen of Your Soul
Your soul knows that you can have a healthy relationship and that it is possible. But the limiting beliefs of your human nature keep you staying stuck in a place you don’t want to be. They keep you from believing in yourself and your ability to make positive changes.

Moshe Dayan said: “Freedom is the oxygen of the soul.

Since freedom is what everyone desires, this makes a lot of sense, right? And it also makes sense that if you’re somehow being held back from living the life you really want to live – including the way you feel about your relationship – it feels suffocating…like there’s no oxygen.

Because instead of feeling the freedom of listening to your soul’s calling and being true to yourself, you feel the burden of trying to be someone else and fitting into someone else’s box of who they think you should be.

Being true to your nature should feel natural, not hard. Unfortunately though, many of us have been taught and conditioned to think otherwise – that we need to act a certain way in order for others to accept us.

Acting Out of Character
And so begins the stories of our lives. We learn how to play the role of certain characters in order to gain acceptance from others, and sometimes go to great lengths in playing an inauthentic role in hopes of gaining love and admiration.

After so much time of doing this, you begin to lose your sense of self, and your soul keeps calling for you to come back to the real you, the you who feels free to be you without feeling the need to please others.

Your soul is specifically designed for YOU and is here to help you live your best life. If you’re struggling in your romantic relationship, this is especially stressful because this relationship plays a huge role in how you feel about yourself and the quality of your life.

So rather than seeing your choices as fight, flight or freeze, listen to your soul’s calling and be willing to use this opportunity for growth. Be willing to learn how to work through the layers of relationship patterns that are working against you rather than for you.

How to Listen to Your Soul’s Calling
So how do you do this? What can you do to improve this difficult situation? You can choose to nourish your soul. You can learn how to rediscover and honor your true self. You can learn how to be honest about your feelings and speak up when something isn’t going right, or when you need something.

You can learn how to love yourself unconditionally, so that no matter what happens, and who does what when, you still feel safe in your own skin. This is your birthright. And this is how your soul thrives!

This is one of my soul’s callings….to show women how to be true to their hearts by using the struggle of ‘should I stay or should I go?’ as the perfect opportunity for growth.

Your romantic relationship is an extremely significant relationship in your life. But what’s even more significant is the relationship you have with yourself!

Your soul is the Perfect Divine Intelligence that makes up every atom of your being. It’s the same Power that holds the planets in space. It’s the same Intelligence that beats your heart, breathes your breath, digests your food…all without any direction from you.

It knows 100% without a doubt that you are worthy of being in a healthy and loving relationship. Are you ready to listen to its calling?
